The Asian Biblical Expositor is accepting article submissions for an upcoming general issue (1 April 2024).

ABE is an academic journal focused on the fields of Bible and Theology from a broadly Evangelical perspective. We intend to promote Biblical and Theological academic conversations that will benefit the Evangelical churches across Asia. ABE is interested in presenting strong academic scholarship in an approachable way.

We invite papers from the following areas:

Pastoral Focus:

We seek papers especially from pastors, professors of pastoral ministry, and D. Min. students who are doing research on current pastoral issues anywhere in Asia.

Bible and Theology:

We seek papers from professors, Ph.D. students, and professional Christian workers who are doing original Biblical and Theological research in Asia.

Emerging Scholars:

We will reserve space in each journal for an “Emerging Scholars” section, aimed at highlighting the current research of Ph.D. and D.Min. students, which shows the relevance of this research for the broader Evangelical Church in Asia. Articles in this section may be anywhere from 3000-7000 words, summarizing some aspect of the student’s current research, and articulating the importance of that research for the Church or Theological Academy in Asia.

Book Reviews:

Contributions welcomed from any capable writer desiring to bring recognition of a specific book to the academic and Church community. Successful book reviews will be about 1500 words in length, laying out the overall argument of the book clearly and concisely (about 1000 words) and highlighting the strengths, relevance, and possible weaknesses of the book (about 500 words).

Specifics: Successful articles will generally be between 5000-7000 words, will contribute original research, and will follow the “Instructions for Contributors” guidelines. Deadline for article submission is 10 January, 2024. All articles will be subject to blind peer-review.
